Job search
Search for open positions via our website and your career center. Networking with our professionals can help you better understand whether a certain position could be a good fit for your skillset and professional interests.
Apply
Submit an application. Make note of your campus recruiting policies – some schools may require you to submit an application via your career center in addition to our website
Resume review
Once your application has been submitted, your resume and qualifications will be reviewed to determine whether you will be selected for an interview. Review our tips for getting your resume read before applying to stand out during the initial screen stage!
Interview
If selected for an interview, you will be notified to sign up for an interview slot via your campus career center or by a member of our recruiting team. First round interviews usually take place on your campus and typically include one or two interviews with a focus on behavioral interview questions. If you advance through the process, second round interviews may take place on campus or in a Deloitte office. The format of interviews will vary depending on the position for which you are being considered but may include additional behavioral and/or case interviews. Need some interview preparation tips? We can help you with that! Want to practice a case interview? View our prep tool!
Offer
You will be notified of your status as quickly as possible. If you are receiving an offer, you will likely have it in writing within one week of interviewing. We encourage you to closely review your offer, ask questions of our recruiting team and professionals you met throughout the process, and learn more about your offer, our offices, and life at Deloitte. This is a great time to take advantage of the relationships you formed during your on-campus networking! We understand that you may have offers from other organizations, and it’s important that you take the time to evaluate your options to make the best choice for you. One of our Talent Scouts has provided some advice to consider when making that decision.
Stay in touch
If you choose to accept your offer, you’ll receive ongoing communications from the Deloitte team leading up to your start date. In the meantime, read up on transitioning from college to your first internship or job, or standing out at a leadership conference.

Choosing the right university for you
To help you begin selecting the right university for you, here are some to things to consider:
- What programs and or majors are offered?
- Where is the campus located?
- What size is the university? What does that mean for your class sizes?
- How much does attendance cost? Should you consider in state instead of out of state universities?
- What are the demographics of the university population?
- If you need transportation what are your options at that university?
- What clubs and or organizations are available to you?
Planning your campus visits
Be sure to map out your visit prior to showing up on campus.
- Plan ahead.
- Take your time as you explore each campus.
- Visit while school is in session. This will ensure you get an authentic experience of what it is like to be a student there.
- Dress appropriately. No need to wear a suit but you want to make a good first impression. Aim to dress in business casual attire.
- Pick up a campus newsletter. This will show you the type of happenings that are hosted on campus.
- Visit the surrounding area to see what else is available to you.
- Talk to students. This is the best resource to get you a genuine perspective on what it’s like to be a student at that university.
How to select your major
One of the easiest and most helpful ways to zero in on a major is by asking yourself some questions and taking time to reflect on your responses.
- Do you already have a career in mind? If you know the career you’d like to pursue, this obviously narrows your focus on selecting a major. If not, don’t panic!
- Take some time to reflect on what your favorite subject was in school and why you enjoyed it.
- Do you have a dream job in mind? If so, what is it and what are the skills required for that job?
- What are you passionate about?
- It is also equally important to spend time thinking about things you don’t like to do – this may help you see what majors just won’t make the cut for you and that’s okay too!
Be sure to leverage your support network to help guide and connect you with different people to learn more about careers in different areas.
Learn more about scholarship offerings
The following may be helpful resources:
- The financial aid office at a college or career school
- Your high school counsellor
- Federal agencies
- Your state grant agency
- Your library’s reference section
- Foundations, religious or community organizations, local businesses, or civic groups and organizations related to your field of interest
- Ethnicity-based organizations
- Your employer or your parents’ employers
Your college roadmap
Some things to thing about as you begin your college roadmap:
- Don’t rush the process. Take your time to visit campuses you are interested in and ask questions.
- Follow your own roadmap. Remember everyone’s roadmap is unique to them. What you value may not be a priority for your parents, friends and others in their roadmap.
- If you are unsure of what type of school or campus you’d like, visit different types of campuses. Think you want a small school? Plan a visit to one and then visit a large campus to truly experience the differences. It will help you in your decision-making process.
- Research and apply for scholarships. College is expensive so take any opportunity you can to obtain financial assistance.
