Presented by David Linthicum, Chief Cloud Strategy Officer, Deloitte Consulting LLP

In his general session presentation, David will discuss how serverless computing can change everything when it comes to using public clouds. He’ll look at how going serverless can relieve developers from having to allocate the correct amount of resources for the workload – not to mention keep up with what's running and what resources to de-provision. David will also review important capabilities of serverless computing. These include linking with both net-new and traditional applications, reporting on what resources a workload consumes, and creating workloads that are sets of functions with their own automation.

Gary will address strategies to take microservices from 0 to 60 using Istio and other tools in a Cloud Native world.
