Dan Sirken

Dan is a tax partner in Deloitte’s M&A Transaction Services group, where he leads the central region M&A tax practice. He has twenty years of experience in public accounting, primarily assisting clients with US and multinational income tax issues related to mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and divestitures.

Dan specializes in advising both financial sponsors and strategic clients on a variety of tax issues related to M&A transactions and restructurings including tax due diligence, tax-efficient structuring, dispositions, spin-offs, and internal reorganizations. Additionally, he has assisted numerous clients in evaluating the complicated tax issues associated with forming, operating, and exiting corporate and passthrough joint ventures. He has served clients in a variety of industries including technology, media, manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, and logistics. Dan is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is licensed to practice as a certified public accountant in Illinois.
