Dan Olson

Dan is a vice president in Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP. He has more than 25 years of experience specializing in helping organizations fight fraud, waste, and abuse. For more than a decade, Dan led the Provider and Recipient Analytics Division for the Office of Inspector General for a large state Medicaid agency. This work included a fraud prevention focus in the development of all analytics, regular communication with the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, and providing testimony at provider hearings. Upon leaving state government, Dan moved into consulting and advisory services to lead the design and implementation of predictive analytics and case management solutions for federal, state, and commercial clients.

Dan commits himself to researching trends and developments in the areas of health care fraud and abuse and educating other members of the program integrity community, as well as, external stakeholders. As part of this commitment, Dan has been a keynote speaker and speaker at numerous institutes, conferences, and program integrity annual meetings, authored 12 health care white papers, testified before Congress, and served as a health care fraud resource to senior Congressional leaders.

Dan is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a charter member of the Advisory Council for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and also a member of the Data Science Association.
