Eric Clapprood
Risk, Capital and Regulatory Lead
Eric is a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP and leads the Risk, Capital and Regulatory practice in the insurance sector, focused on delivering solutions to complex problems in the areas of capital management, risk management, hedging, and other issues at the intersection of regulatory and economic risk. He is the lead consulting partner for some of the firm’s largest insurance clients and helps oversee the actuarial practice at Deloitte.
Eric has been with Deloitte Consulting since 2009, joining the firm after 15 years of executive work in the insurance industry. He has a B.S. from Brown University and is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Certified Enterprise Risk analyst. He has received multiple patents for financial risk management systems and published a thesis on interest rate risk management.
