Hui Shan

Hui Shan is a leader in the Deloitte US Actuarial & Insurance Solutions practice, with more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. Hui has extensive experience in insurance financial reporting and actuarial valuation under various US and international accounting bases. He supports insurance and reinsurance clients in transforming the actuarial and finance processes, improving the financial profile through evaluating risk-adjusted performance metrics and advising on product strategy. Hui's main focus is life insurance and annuity products while having also served P&C and health insurers throughout his career.

Hui has served multi-national clients in Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe. Hui is a Fellow (FSA) and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) of the Society of Actuaries. He is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), and holds a doctoral degree in mathematics (Ph.D.) from the University of Connecticut.
