James Kemp

Jim is a managing director with Deloitte Consulting LLP focused on Higher Education. With more than 25 years of experience assisting universities improve financial operations, he is a leading provider of higher education management consulting services and a proven finance executive. He helps research-intensive universities address a broad range of strategic and operational challenges involving financial operations, financial performance, sponsored projects administration, and enabling information technologies including cloud enterprise resource planning solutions. Prior to joining Deloitte Consulting, Jim served in leadership and consulting roles as chief financial officer for the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University, associate vice president for research financial operations at Columbia University, managing director for higher education consulting at the Huron Consulting Group, and principal consultant at IBM Business Consulting Services (formerly PwC Consulting).
