Jason Ding

Jason is a partner & senior managing director and the Canadian National Life Sciences & Healthcare leader with Deloitte’s Corporate Finance practice. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator with particular expertise in life sciences and health care industry. Prior to joining Deloitte, he worked for a technology accelerator focused on supporting life science companies in therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics, agriculture technology, and animal health.

He has worked with companies at the start-up stage, large national and international public company and public sector clients in a variety of sectors. For more than 10 years, Jason has focused on transactions in the area of licensing, partnering & alliances, M&A, equity and debt financing, business valuations, corporate finance, and general financial advisory service lines.

Prior to working in the financial industry, Jason worked as a science reporter for CBC radio, an Ombudsman for the University of Alberta, and in a variety of research labs.

Jason has served as a board member of the Telus World of Science Edmonton, senator at the University of Alberta, and a trustee and vice-chair on the Edmonton Public Library Board. Jason received a Merit Award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta in 2010 and 2017. He was also part of the class of Top 40 under 40 Edmonton in 2016.
