Nina Renda
Partner, National Unclaimed Property Practice
Nina is a partner and the leader of our National Unclaimed Property Practice with more than 20 years of public accounting experience providing consulting, compliance, controversy, and asset recovery services to her clients.
Nina has a full range of experience assisting clients in evaluating and managing their compliance responsibilities, including performing comprehensive diagnostic reviews to identify gaps and risk areas, quantifying unclaimed property exposure through the analysis of detailed records, bringing clients into compliance through voluntary disclosure agreements, and providing audit defense services to clients under audit by the states and their third-party vendor firms. Nina’s clients have included large, multinational clients with numerous US subsidiaries, including numerous Fortune 10 through Fortune 500 companies, as well as smaller startups. She has assisted with six sigma projects with some of the largest companies in the United States.
Before joining Deloitte, she was the partner-in-charge and national unclaimed property practice leader for another Big Four firm. She is a frequent speaker at various conferences held by industry groups such as Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization (UPPO) and the National Association of State Treasurers, as well as Deloitte-sponsored webinars and events.
Nina earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College and is a CPA licensed in New Jersey and New York. She is a member of the AICPA, as well as the UPPO, where she was a founding member and former chair of the Certificate Committee, responsible for the development and deployment of the Basic and Intermediate certificate programs, the only educational curriculum program for unclaimed property professionals.
