Richard Leaton

As senior manager, data strategy leader, and data advisor, Richard leads strategy adoption and value realization at both the US Firm and business unit levels. He advises on technology investments in alignment with the US data strategy, expanding data and insights, fostering new partnerships, advanced sensing & innovation, and accelerating research & benchmarks. Richard leads alongside the chief data officers to define enterprise data standards, governance and adoption of enterprise data capabilities.

Previously, Richard has CIO experience leading global enterprises through data, CRM, and cloud transformations with full P&L ownership of over $50 million. He has experience utilizing industry best practices to improve data quality by 85% and enable $100M of incremental revenue and a $21M operating margin. Richard also has extensive experience leading global teams across North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Russia. He has a keen understanding of successful enterprise growth, including finance, management, operations, sales and marketing, human capital management, and contract negotiations. Richard is skilled in data management, information governance, opportunity identification, strategic planning, risk mitigation, vendor selection, and global procurement.

Richard has more than 25 years of experience in management leadership, program execution, executive-level oversight of global business processes, M&A integration leadership, technology, IT security, and product implementations across large, multinational organizations.

Richard is a former US Navy Nuclear Power Officer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
