Suzanne is an Audit & Assurance managing director in the Sustainability and ESG Services practice at Deloitte & Touche LLP, working with clients to advise them on how to achieve their sustainability and ESG objectives. Suzanne is based in Boston and focused primarily on the financial services sector, where she has more than 25 years of experience.
Suzanne previously worked at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), where she was most recently the head of ESG Investment Integration. In this role Suzanne collaborated with SSGA’s investment teams to develop and implement ESG investment processes, policies, and leading practices. These investment teams represented active and index management across asset classes, including alternatives. She was also responsible for executing on SSGA’s ESG and climate commitments, including but not limited to Principals for Responsible Investment, Net Zero Asset Managers initiative, and Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures. Before that, she headed the ESG Investment Product efforts, leading cross-functional initiatives to launch innovative ESG investment solutions related to SSGA’s proprietary ESG scoring methodology, R-Factor.
Prior to SSGA, Suzanne spent 12 years at Fidelity Investments in a number of leadership roles from corporate strategy to investment product solutions and innovation. She was an early adopter of ESG at Fidelity and drove the inclusion of ESG data into the portfolio managers’ investment platforms. Suzanne’s ESG journey began at an impact venture capital firm, MassVentures, where she invested in early-stage tech companies focused on growing a sustainable Massachusetts economy. Suzanne started her career in the audit practice at Ernst & Young.
Suzanne received her bachelor of science in accounting from Boston College and a master of business administration from Babson College. She has completed coursework at the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership and was awarded a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.
