Stefan van Thienen is Partner at Deloitte Germany and Sector Lead for Energy & Chemicals. His focus lies within Core Operations in the Engineering field, Maintenance and Asset Management, Production and Supply Chain Excellence, R&D as well as on the digital transformation of these functions.
He has led programs with the aim to restructure sites, reduce costs, create synergies in PMI and carve-outs, redesign supply chains and develop growth strategies for companies in the process industries such as chemicals, downstream oil & gas, paper and packaging, metals, formulating, converting & compounding, building materials.
In 2009, Stefan van Thienen joined Deloitte in Belgium at the Brussels office and moved to Deloitte Germany, Düsseldorf in 2017 to focus on the German chemical sector.
