As Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Chief Commercial Officer for Alphabet Google since late 2016, Tom has driven 80X growth by focusing on Google Cloud and Marketing Technology as part of his team’s goal to create Deloitte’s fastest billion services business. He is also actively shaping market plays with Google’s Health, Hardware, and YouTube businesses as well as Alphabet’s wholly owned bets.
With 28+ years in consulting, Tom has significant experience as a technology, strategy and operations professional and large-scale business practice leader in North America and Europe, as well as India, Mexico, Brazil, China and Africa.
Tom is currently scaling Deloitte’s Cloud and Performance Advertising businesses globally, while launching market leading Data Modernization and Machine Learning capabilities, and actively shaping multi-party technology ecosystems. Working with Google Cloud’s CEO, Tom has recruited and trained 2,500+ professionals to execute on six priority workloads in six target industries and commercialized numerous co-engineered, purpose-built industry vertical solutions globally.
Prior to his current role, Tom served as Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Technology Strategy and Architecture practice leader from 2012 to 2016, driving the 1,100+ person practice to double digit top and bottom-line growth. During this time, he put in place extensive hiring and retooling to build a world-class market facing team that engaged clients to develop IT-enabled business transformations, drive efficient IT operations, and evolve key IT capabilities—such as IT modernization, large-scale cloud migration and SaaS-based IT service management.
Tom earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School with honors and a B.A. from Hamilton College with honors. He lives in Northern California with his wife and two children. His passions are family, cycling, cooking, skiing and photography.
