Published date: 6 December 2016
Professional services organization Deloitte announced today the opening of its new office in Shenyang.
As a leading professional services provider, Deloitte achieved a global revenue of US$36.8 billion for the year ended 31 May, 2016 (FY16). This is the seventh consecutive year of revenue growth, and has strengthened our position as one of the industry leaders. China is one of the priority markets for the Deloitte global organization. Deloitte has always paid close attention to the economic development of Northeastern China, and is offering professional services to many companies in this region. Back in 1990s, Deloitte established an office in Dalian, Liaoning Province, which followed by the office opening in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province in 2011, in response to growing demand for professional services in Northeastern China. Drawing on resources and professional experience from our global network, Deloitte aims to assist companies in Northeastern China in realizing their vision of business transformation and upgrade, and contribute to improve the standards of modern service industry in this region. This year, Deloitte established the new Shenyang Office at Hang Lung Plaza, the distinguished landmark at the city’s national financial and commercial development zone. It is a strong testament of the firm’s commitment to prepare for its journey of the next century in China, and support companies in Northeastern China in their building of business eminence.
"The Shenyang Office is Deloitte’s third service point in Northeastern China in addition to the two offices in Harbin and Dalian. It represents the strategic expansion of the Deloitte brand in China. Deloitte has decided to open a new office in Shenyang as we have sensed the opportunities arising from the economic development in Northeastern China. We will ride on the Shenyang office to make our contributions to the economic development of Liaoning and the broader Northeastern region and offer professional services support to local companies, leveraging our global network and professional services experience. Together with the offices in Harbin and Dalian, the new office will enable us to create a cohesive service network and further strengthen our service capabilities in this region,” said Norman Sze, Managing Partner, Northern Region, Deloitte China.
"Northeastern China is one of the earliest industrialized regions in China. Until now, it has the highest degree of urbanization in China, excluding municipalities directly under the Central Government. As the largest city in Northeastern China, Shenyang enjoys a lot of geographical advantages and it is located at the center of a number of designated economic zones, including the Northeast Asian Economic Circle. By the end of 2016, the State Council is expected to issue a work plan for further SOE reform in Northeastern China, which will include measures to revitalize the economy in the region. This will create both challenges and opportunities for businesses. The new office is part of our business strategy at this critical period of economic transformation in Northeastern China. We will make use of our global network advantages, coupled with our local professional services experience, to provide strategic support to the region’s economic transformation and industrial upgrade,” said Deloitte China partner Andrew Zhang, who leads business development in Northeastern China.
