Asia Pacific CFO Vision 2019 in China

On 26 April, Deloitte hosted Asia Pacific CFO Vision 2019 in China, exploring the future of the finance function through a range of conversations, panels, presentations and breakout sessions.

Under the theme 'Winning in a disruptive world', this seminal event's more than 200 attendees were captivated by insights from Deloitte and renowned external experts on how today's changing geopolitics, investment landscape, customer, workforce and stakeholder expectations and technology are transforming CFOs work and the finance function. 

The morning's highlights included a discussion moderated by Deloitte China Chief Economist Sitao Xu with Alicia Garcia Herrero, Chief Asia Pacific Economist at Natixis, and Centennial Asia Advisors Founding Director and CEO Manu Bhaskaran. 

They explored how ongoing geopolitical tensions, changing industry and business models and policy conditions could affect Asia Pacific economies.

Over the rest of the day, Asia Pacific CFO Vision 2019 in China's agenda covered how the CFO role is changing from a numbers game to coming up with new business strategies and management approaches; the development of a new economy based on trust in the digital age; the impact of new interest rate benchmarks in the post-IBOR era; and an Olympic gold medalist's inspiring story of success in sports, business and life.

 

On the same day, Deloitte hosted the Women Executives in Finance breakfast, bringing CFOs together to discuss women's empowerment and how to develop diverse, inclusive cultures.

Led by Deloitte Asia Pacific CEO Cindy Hook, this event exemplifies the Deloitte commitment to going 'All In' for gender equality.
