Latest regulatory development in Hong Kong's green finance
The development of green finance has been accelerating in Hong Kong, with local regulatory authorities HKMA and SFC publishing more guidelines and announcing new requirements in this regard. These new guidelines and requirements concern climate-related risk management of Authorised Institutions and collective investment schemes, as well as green bond issuance and ESG funds. Banks, fund managers, bond issuers, other financial institutions and industry practitioners should adapt to the new environment and adjust their strategies swiftly to capture the evolving opportunities in green finance.
