  •  Seiji has been in India for the las\t 29 years and has over 25 years of experience in Advisory, specializing in providing critical advisory services to Japanese companies operating in India.
  • Seiji started his career with EY, and before joining Deloitte was spearheading the Japanese practice in BMR Advisors and KPMG India.
  • Actively involved in client initiatives between India and Japan across diverse sectors including automobiles, trade, heavy machinery, construction, real estate, infrastructure, consumer electronics, logistics, and services.
  • In M&A transactions, advised and supported numerous Japanese companies on buy/sell transactions, deal strategies, corporate restructuring, forming JVs and PMI.
  •   Acted critical roles for diagnostic reviews, process design, risk assessment, and fraud investigation.
  • Led project management for Implementation of ERP systems, realigned business processes, and enhanced cyber security for improved operations and risk mitigation.

Yukari Inoue, Risk/Governance Director

  • Yukari is Director with the firm’s Financial Advisory and is a member of the global Japan practice.
  • She has over 18 years of experience in advising companies across the industry; Manufacturing, Automotive & Auto Components, Financial Service etc.
  • She has been working in India for about 14 years to lead and deliver several; projects for Japanese companies on a wide range of matters such as, process design, forensic investigation, market-entry strategy, M&A, corporate restructuring, corporate governance, business consolidation and integration etc.
  • She is an expert in the areas of corporate governance, compliance and organization management consulting including matters relating to post-merger integration.

Yasuhiko Yamazaki, Accounting and Tax Senior Manager

  • Yasuhiko is a tax senior manager and he is seconded to Deloitte India Delhi office. He coordinates tax and other services for Japanese companies entering India.
  • His expertise is International Tax and M&A tax. He has been providing international tax services, tax structuring, tax due diligence, other tax services in connection with M&A transactions since 2018.
  • He joined Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC in 2006 and had provided audit and assurance services, IFRS advisory and other consulting services for a Japanese multinational companies.
  • He was transferred to Deloitte Tohmatsu Tax Co. in 2014 and has been providing domestic and international tax services for a large-scale companies, including support of international transaction, M&A, PMI, group reorganization, consolidated taxation.

  • Koji Arisawa has been instrumental in leading and managing projects across multiple countries, including India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar, Sierra Leone, Peru, and South Sudan.
  • With over a decade of experience working with various international organizations, including the United Nations and as a JICA consultant, Koji's expertise spans multiple sectors, including agriculture, financial services, and disaster risk reduction.
  • He is an expert in bridging Japanese companies and Official Development Assistance (ODA) schemes to address social issues in Asian and African countries.

Masahiko Hasegawa, Financial Advisory Partner

  •  He joined Deloitte Tohmatsu Financial Advisory (DTFA) in September 2020. Prior to joining DTFA, he worked for Credit Suisse and Citigroup and engaged in M&A advisory and investment banking business for 10 years. After Citigroup, he moved to buyout fund and engaged in corporate investment mainly in BtoC business over 3 years.

Takahisa Ohira, Start-up/Innovation Services Director

  • Takahisa is the Head of Global Department at Deloitte Tohmatsu Venture Support (DTVS), where he supports startups from Asia (India, Southeast Asia) and Japanese startups expansion in Asia. And also support large companies' collaboration with Asia startups and new business development.
  • As the FinTech leader at DTVS, he had provided support services to start-ups (FinTech, media, EC) and new business development consulting for large companies. His expertise and consulting focus include wide knowledge in IT & finance industry, business development, and media management experience. He was also the Director of Platform Division in DTVS, where he led Deloitte’s premier pitching platform “MorningPitch” and managed governmental projects.
  • His commentary on FinTech frequently appears in major Japanese financial publications such as Nikkei FinTech and Weekly Diamond. He also served on the jury of FinTechCity Asia 2017 and many other business contests.
  • Prior to Deloitte, Takahisa engaged in consulting for financial services companies (credit card, securities, consumer finance) at an IT consulting firm. After which, he led the business development of a domestic magazine publisher where he was responsible for launching 6 new business lines in 2 years.

 Junichi Suzuki, CPA, Senior Manager

  • Suzuki is a specialist in Audit & Assurance. He joined Deloitte Tokyo, Japan office in 2007.
  •  He has vast experience in providing Audit services for listed and unlisted entities in several industries and financial advisory services like business revitalization and M&A in the Total Services department. Since 2013, he has a lot of seminar for specialist like Bank and accountant.
  • Since 2016, he had worked with Deloitte Delhi office and engaging in coordination for Audit, Taxation and other advisory services for Japanese companies in India.
  • Since 2020, he was lead manager of India Japan corridor.
  • Since 2021, he has been working with Deloitte Japan Tokyo office and engaging in cross border project and audit under IFRS mainly.
  • Recently he engage in cross border fast closing project and unification of fiscal year end project etc. as in-charge for large company.
