The Deloitte Military Transition and Talent Programme
Supporting your transition
If you’ve spent time in the armed forces, chances are the mindset and skills you’ve developed are those that are also highly prized by businesses. Including ours. Of course moving into a civilian career can be as challenging as it is an opportunity. At Deloitte, we recognise that, and we’re proud to support ex-military personnel, providing many different ways to aid their transition.
From our supportive internal community and career insight days, to promoting the skills of ex-services professionals to the wider business world, our Military Programme is focused on making an impact. It’s part of our Armed Forces Covenant commitment, but it’s also for the value we know you can bring.
“I am immensely proud of the positive impact we’re having as a Firm across the armed forces community and wider industry, helping service leavers make a successful transition into a new commercial career.”
Chris Recchia, Lead Partner for the Deloitte Military Transition and Talent Programme, Risk Advisory (ex-Army)
In 2016, we published the “Veterans Work” report, which highlights the tangible benefits that military veterans bring to businesses through an impressive range of transferable skills. The report forms part of our One Million Futures programme. And we then made these three short films to bring the report findings to a far wider audience. The films were made in collaboration with The Drive Project, The Officers’ Association and were supported by Business in the Community.
Are you a veteran in the UK? Can you spare just 10 minutes to contribute to our next Veterans Work project?
We are currently undertaking our 3rd Veterans Work project and, like previous Veterans Work initiatives, we are working in collaboration with other organisations. In this instance we are working in collaboration with the Forces in Mind Trust and The Officers’ Association. This project focuses on data, specifically data that looks at the correlation between where there are significant concentrations of employers actively seeking employees and where veterans are living in the UK.
A survey has been produced in order to capture the data and generate the insights required to form our research. This survey takes no longer than 10 minutes to complete, all of your answers will remain completely anonymous and they will only be used for research purposes. This survey is being conducted by Watermelon Research, an independent research agency, according to the Market Research Society Code of Conduct.

We actively recruit from the services and currently have more than 150 ex-military people working across the firm. Read our success stories.
Our regular insight days are designed to help you unravel your options and include CV workshops, inspiring speakers, case studies and networking opportunities. These events have so far, attracted over 1,800 attendees. Find out when the next insight day takes place.
An active community of more than 160 people, our internal support group includes ex-military, staff with friends and family in the military, and others. It’s all about socialising and supporting each other, as well as military charities. Discover more.
Beyond our work within Deloitte, we collaborate with other organisations, and members of the business community, who support the transition of military personnel into civilian life. See how.
Armed Forces Covenant
Deloitte was one of the first 50 companies to sign up to the covenant, which highlights the moral obligation owed to the Armed Forces by the Government, and the nation. Since June 2013, businesses have been able to sign the covenant to show how they will support the military community. As we’d already launched our military programme, becoming an early supporter was a natural step. Read on.
If you’re already a reservist, or seeking to become one, you can be assured of our support. We even have a dedicated Reservist Employment Liaison Officer (RELO). Read more.
