Deloitte is proud to sponsor Team USA
Meet the 2018 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes of Team Deloitte
Leadership, drive, integrity, commitment. At Deloitte, these are values deeply embedded in what we do, how we work, and how we evolve. We share those values with Team USA athletes who strive to be the best in their sport, commit themselves to excellence, and serve as leaders on their teams and in their communities. This is why Deloitte is proud to sponsor 11 U.S. athletes on their journey to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.
Celebrate with Deloitte and Team USA!
The Olympic Winter Games were filled with epic moments and the excitement continued with the Paralympic Winter Games! Multiple days of exciting Paralympic competition brought together the world’s most gifted Paralympic athletes—including 2 members of Team Deloitte and U.S. sled hockey team, another proud Deloitte sponsorship.
To celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, our people, and our commitment to Team Deloitte, we held office events and contests, and released special U.S. Olympic and Paralympic content, including a video series featuring our 11 athletes, four in-depth athlete stories, and profiles of the U.S. speedskating and Paralympic sled hockey teams.

Team USA and the Olympic and Paralympic Movements
Why do the Olympic and Paralympic Movements matter? Because they are enduring celebrations that seek to unite the world in friendship and peace through sport.
While the primary purpose of many other sports franchises is to produce a champion, the broader aims of the Olympic and Paralympic Movements are different. The inherent values of sport—discipline, perseverance, teamwork—find their highest expression in the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Around the world, the Games are recognized as the pinnacle of sport because of the very values they embody.
Today's Olympians and Paralympians owe a debt to Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Movement. His proposal in 1894 to resurrect the ancient Olympic Games, which had been lost to humanity for nearly 1,500 years, has helped define what it means to be an elite athlete.
We shall not have peace until the prejudices which now separate the different (nations) shall have been outlived. To attain this end, what better means than to bring the youth of all countries periodically together for amicable trials of muscular strength and agility.
– Baron Pierre de Coubertin
We use our expertise
From quantifying the impact of hosting the Games on U.S. soil to implementing sustainability initiatives, Deloitte makes a difference in the daily operations of the USOC.
As the only National Olympic Committee that doesn't receive government funding, USOC executives must engage in rigorous, year-round planning to support the development of Team USA. To support these efforts, Deloitte delivers a breadth of knowledge, network of seasoned practitioners, and depth of analytical rigor that have helped the USOC set long-term strategy, operate more efficiently, and focus on its core mission: to discover, train, and develop many of the United States' top athletes.
For example, Deloitte has helped the USOC quantify the short- and long-term impact of hosting the Games; implement a framework for comprehensive workforce management; and launch several sustainability initiatives, including carbon-neutral travel and accommodations for all Team USA members at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Deloitte also advises the USOC on complicated international tax matters, donor strategy, and operations.
