Apply

Submit an application. Make note of your campus recruiting policies – some schools may require you to submit an application via your career center in addition to our website. Learn more about what to expect when completing your application.

Resume review

Once your application has been submitted, your resume and qualifications will be reviewed to determine whether you will be selected for an interview. Review our tips for getting your resume read before applying to stand out during the initial screen stage!

Interview

If selected for an interview, you will be notified to sign up for an interview slot via your campus career center or by a member of our recruiting team. First round interviews usually take place on your campus and typically include one or two interviews with a focus on behavioral interview questions. If you advance through the process, second round interviews may take place on campus or in a Deloitte office. The format of interviews will vary depending on the position for which you are being considered but may include additional behavioral and/or case interviews. Need some interview preparation tips? We can help you with that! Want to practice a case interview? View our prep tool!

Offer

You will be notified of your status as quickly as possible. If you are receiving an offer, you will likely have it in writing within one week of interviewing. We encourage you to closely review your offer, ask questions of our recruiting team and professionals you met throughout the process, and learn more about your offer, our offices, and life at Deloitte. This is a great time to take advantage of the relationships you formed during your on-campus networking! We understand that you may have offers from other organizations, and it’s important that you take the time to evaluate your options to make the best choice for you. One of our Talent Scouts has provided some advice to consider when making that decision.

Stay in touch

If you choose to accept your offer, you’ll receive ongoing communications from the Deloitte team leading up to your start date. In the meantime, read up on transitioning from college to your first internship or job, or standing out at a leadership conference.

Resume review

Interview

If selected for an interview, you will be contacted by a member of our recruiting team to schedule an interview, typically within one to two weeks. The first step in the interview process is typically an introductory phone or video interview with the recruiter. The focus of this conversation will be to learn more about your background while you learn more about Deloitte and the role. While, the interview process varies based on business and role for which you are being considered, you can typically expect 2-3 rounds of interviews, via either telephone, video, or in-person. If you advance through the process, you will meet with several of our professionals and may go through a mix of behavioral, technical, and case-based interviews, depending on the role for which you are being considered. Brush up on your interviewing skills and prepare great questions for your interviewers.

Offer

You will be notified of your status as quickly as possible. Given that we are recruiting several candidates for each position, and coordinating with several members of our team, this may take a couple of weeks. If you have any questions during this time, your recruiter is a great resource!

Prepare for your start date

If you choose to accept your offer, you will work with an on-boarding coordinator to determine your start date and new hire training schedule. We have a great new hire portal that will walk you through everything you’ll need in preparation for joining Deloitte, and in the days leading up to joining, you will also start to hear from future team members.

Completing your application

Before submitting your job-specific profile, you will need your resume.

You will be asked to cut and paste an electronic copy of your resume into the online system. When you do this, it will be reformatted to a plain text document. The less formatting that you have in your resume the better it will appear within our system. We understand that this makes resumes look less attractive and will take this into account when reviewing your submission. You will also have the ability to attach your resume to your job-specific profile. We recommend that you submit your resume to us in both ways.

How to submit your job-specific application online:

  • Visit our Career Opportunities for the United States. You will be allowed to perform a specific search in order to see a list of opportunities that match your requirements and submit your job-specific candidate profile on-line. Your first profile submission will take approximately 30 minutes.
  • When you first login, you will be asked to create a user ID (your email address will become your unique identity in our system) and password. This will allow for the creation of a file that will be available only to you for subsequent profile submissions or changes, making the process much faster. Please do not create multiple accounts using different email addresses in our system.
  • The system will allow you to save every page when you move forward using the save and continue button. (Please note that if you use the Exit button, the information on that page will not be saved).
  • You can go into the system and edit your submission, as long as the position is still posted.
  • Once you have completed the submission process, you can e-mail yourself a copy using the "Send me my submissions by e-mail" link. This link appears on the final "Thank You" page of the submission. This will allow you to review the submission and return to the system to revise it if necessary.
  • Submissions received through the system will be automatically acknowledged. Your submission will be reviewed by the recruiting professionals and hiring managers in the offices where you submitted your interest.
  • You will be contacted  by a Deloitte professional regarding next steps and scheduling your interview should you be selected.
