Optimize workflow and capture value to deliver better apps

Cloud app delivery runs on tight timelines. Unfortunately, other organizational processes, like procurement or legal, often create workflow bottlenecks that hobble the software delivery process. In this podcast, Mike Kavis and guests, Chris Young and Mattia Battiston, discuss teams, workflow, and value delivery. Their advice: IT and business must work collaboratively to manage change, identify and clear bottlenecks, and understand where value lies to optimize workflow.

By working across tech and business, I think you build that shared understanding, you create that empathy, and that helps you kind of work better.

Mattia Battiston, co-author of Team Guide to Metrics for Business Decisions, is originally from Verona, Italy. He is a software developer and team leader with a great passion for learning and continuous improvement.

Chris Young, co-author of Team Guide to Metrics for Business Decisions, is a freelance DevOps and Lean/Agile technology consultant leading public facing product and service delivery. He works with teams to set them up for success with Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Delivery, Lean and Agile Methods, Specification by Example, and Test Driven Development.
