Life at Deloitte

Diversity and inclusion

At Deloitte, we recognize that diversity drives innovation and improves decision making, and that our inclusion efforts represent an enormous opportunity for continued growth and improvement.

"Foster inclusion" and "Take care of each other", two of Deloitte’s global shared values, guide us in cultivating our inclusive culture. These values help us to enable innovation; deliver comprehensive client solutions; and prioritize respect, fairness, development and wellbeing for our people, our clients, and the communities in which we work.

Our deeply embedded, ongoing initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion at Deloitte have proven impact:

  • Deloitte member firms have adopted progressive talent initiatives—including workplace flexibility, family leave and return-to-work policies—that attract women, parents and employees of all generations.
  • Globally, Deloitte creates a safe work environment for all its people through strong policies against misconduct, discrimination, inappropriate behavior and sexual harassment.

These are just some of the reasons Deloitte is recognized as a desirable workplace by organizations including Top Employer China, Universum Most Attractive Employers, Great Place to Work, LinkedIn, the National Association of Female Executives (US), The Times (UK), Glassdoor and more.

Although we are proud of the accolades we have earned and the policies and programs we have implemented, to lead in inclusion and diversity, we must achieve more.

Gender Parity:

We are constantly vigilant, thinking about how we do things every day to promote equality and broaden opportunities for women at every level. We continue to seek and hire qualified women, provide ample developmental, promotional and leadership opportunities, and remain committed to fair pay for all.

  • We value the impact women have made and foster their career and personal development in many ways, including through Deloitte China's partnership with Lean In China on the Women, Work and Happiness whitepaper and corporate Young Leaders Program to train future female leaders.
  • We also help women advance and express themselves through internal and external mentoring programs, as well as networking and participation in social and community activities; share the leadership success stories of Deloitte women; and offer various wellbeing and career coaching programs aimed specifically at women.

Our commitment manifests itself in the substantial growth of female representation in leadership roles at Deloitte. Today, women account for 33% of the partners in the China firm, one of the highest figures in the Deloitte Global network. We are proud of what we have achieved so far.

Deloitte constantly strives to develop an inclusive culture and has been recognized for these efforts across the world and domestically.
