The J-Win Diversity Award

J-win has been hosting the J-Win Diversity Award since 2008, which consists of the following two prizes. This is the third time for Deloitte Tohmatsu to receive the award from J-Win, since having received two awards in 2019 over the Company Prize and the Personal Prize as the first group winner among professional firms.

  • Personal Prize (CEO Award/ Leader Award);

One of our acknowledged initiatives: The “Men's Network” at Deloitte Tohmatsu

Kurihara, the recipient of this award, has started the “Men's Network” at Deloitte Tohmatsu in 2022 with the aim of "Accelerate DEI at Deloitte Tohmatsu by promoting a change in mindset of the majority -particularly among "men", based on his own experiences through the Men's Network at J-Win, where he had been participating in since 2019. This year marks the third year of this initiative at Deloitte Tohmatsu, with a total of nearly 200 members including women and members with diverse international backgrounds participate as part of their day jobs. They are engaged in planning various DEI measures, making recommendations, and raising internal and external awareness to realize essential DEI promotion both from a top-down and bottom-up approaches.

Comment from Kensuke Kurihara

I am very honored to be selected for the "Leader Award" over the 2024 J-Win Diversity Award.
In order to accelerate the promotion of DEI as part of the organizational management strategy, I believe that the collective initiatives matter -including the ones from majority. With this in mind, both the majority and the minority at Deloitte Tohmatsu have proactively and organizationally been involved in various activities, leveraging their respective points of views as our organizational strengths.

Still, we are halfway through in this journey of tackling DEI challenges, and here is my pledge to push forward to pass the baton to the next generation, for the better.

By leveraging this opportunity, I myself and the Deloitte Tohmatsu will further strive to make an impact that matters in the society while continuing these initiatives together.
