Deloitte Tohmatsu Group has received various certifications for Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) initiatives. Globally, Deloitte is a forerunner in the promotion of D&I worldwide, not only by providing an inclusive work environment, but also making our society a better place for everyone.

2020

Deloitte Australia was awarded the 2020 Catalyst Award

Catalyst, a leading global non-profit focused on accelerating progress for women in the workplace, has selected Deloitte for the prestigious Catalyst Award for 2020. This award is given to companies that lead in gender equality, and Deloitte Australia was recognized for its working environment to support all members, culture which supports diversity, and program to support women's career. 2019

Obtained Top Score at Workplace Pride Global Benchmark 2019

Workplace Pride Global Benchmark 2019 is a measure to evaluate sexual minority initiatives such as LGBT in the workplace, organized by a non-profit organization Workplace Pride based in the Netherlands. Deloitte Globe achieved top score in the Workplace Pride Global Benchmark 2019.

The following initiatives in Japan and global initiatives were highly evaluated.
・Providing LGBT basic training and training for consultation members
・Providing LGBT brochure to a broad range of readers (internal and external), composed of interviews with LGBT members, messages from CEO, etc. stating the importance of building an inclusive environment

Won "Gold Award" in the Pride Index

Deloitte Tohmatsu Group won the Gold Award in the Pride Index for the second consecutive year. The Pride Index is a guideline to measure initiatives over sexual minorities such as LGBT, and is given out by a voluntary organization "work with Pride" (hereinafter wwP).

The Group CEO Takashi Nagata, Group CHRO Kaoru Nakamura, and Group D&I Leader Natsuyo Hara attended the award ceremony, where our CEO Takashi Nagata made a strong declaration as "I'm CEO and CAO (Chief Ally Officer)!"


【What is Pride Index?】

The Pride Index is an initiative for acknowledging company initiatives that align with wwP's objective of creating LGBT-friendly workplace in Japan .

The Pride Index is comprised of the following 5 indicators. Deloitte Tohmatsu Group was evaluated as having met all 5 factors, and was awarded gold status.
1. Policy (declaration of action)
2. Representation (LGBT community)
3. Inspiration (activities to raise awareness)
4. Development (HR system/ program)
5. Engagement/Empowerment (social contribution, public relation activities)

2019 J-win Diversity Award Won both corporate and individual awards for building an inclusive corporate culture

Deloitte Tohmatsu Group won the 2019 J-win Diversity Award, for "Basic Achievement Award" in the corporate award category, and "Leader Award" in the individual award category to Keiko Hayashi, our D&I Partner.  J-win (Japan Women's Innovative Network), a Japanese NPO, has been hosting the awards since 2008, and has been recognized by Japan's leading diversity promotion companies.  We are the first Group Winner amongst the professional firms.  Click here for details.

Deloitte Tohmatsu Group was awarded the best prize "Gold Award" based on the PRIDE Index, which is a guideline to measure the initiatives for sexual minorities such as LGBT in the work environment.
