Ostatnio często mówi się o tym, że maszyna może w przyszłości zastąpić człowieka. Zdaniem Daniela Martyniuka roboty mogą bardzo ułatwić nam pracę, jednak nigdy nie zastąpią najlepszego komputera, jakim jest ludzki mózg. Technologia umożliwia analizę dużo większej ilości danych i na wyższym poziomie, często nieosiągalnym przez człowieka, ale nie należy obawiać się, że odbierze nam pracę. Może nam ją ułatwić, podsuwać nowe rozwiązania, pomóc podejmować lepsze decyzje i zaoszczędzić czas.

Mój rozmówca radzi liderom/liderkom, aby uruchomili swój „techradar” – zastanowili się już dziś jak technologia może wyglądać za parę lat i przygotowali się na nadchodzące zmiany. A tym, którzy dopiero zaczynają swoje kariery, sugeruje poznawanie technologii, np. przez krótki kurs programowania, ponieważ technologia jest nieodłącznym elementem nie tylko życia prywatnego, ale i każdego biznesu.

In the next C-suite@Transformation podcast, I talk to Daniel Martyniuk about the role of leadership in the digital era, the latest technology trends and their impact on organizational development as well as concerns about machines replacing humans in the future.

According to Daniel Martyniuk, the understanding of how technology works is key to the success of any organization. Currently, the largest enterprises are building their business around technology. Deloitte’s “Tech Trends 2021” report provides insights into the trends which may revolutionize the way organizations work in not so distant future. My guest draws attention to ongoing digital transformation as well as analysis of data to gain a better understanding of customer needs and develop “tailor-made” products.

Recently, concerns have been voiced that machines may replace human beings in the future. Daniel Martyniuk believes that robots may prove extremely useful in making our work easier but they will never be capable of replacing the human brain, which is the most powerful computer. Technology may be leveraged to analyze a much greater quantity of data at a higher level of sophistication, which is often impossible for human beings to achieve, but we should not fear that it will take our jobs. It can make work easier, provide new solutions, help take more informed decisions and save our time.

My guest recommends that leaders should turn on their “techradar” and think today what technology may look like in a few years, so as to get ready to embrace the changes to come. He also suggests that those who are only embarking on their professional journey should learn technology, for instance by taking a short programming course, as it is an inseparable part of not only our private lives but also any business.
