When and how do I apply?

It depends on the scheme.

Applications for our graduate programme, Summer Vacation Scheme, Industrial Placements and Scholar Scheme open in September each year. While Spring into Deloitte opens in November. For current details check our key dates page.

For all programmes you’ll need to apply online and complete one of more stages of our selection process.

Where will I work?

It depends on the scheme you go for. Many will be London-based, but opportunities are available in 23 offices across the UK.

What area of the business will I work in?

Like everything we do at Deloitte, we recruit differently. Rather than fit people in and label them according to our ‘service lines’ (the services we offer clients), our undergraduare and graduate programmes reflect the attributes and skills needed for a particular kind of role.

Say you apply for a job in IT, but you’re supporting the tax team, we’ll train you in technology, not tax advising. We call these ‘job families’ and there are nine you could join as a graduate trainee. We’ll help you decide which would suit you best when you apply.

What qualifications do I need?

How you think and solve problems is just as important to us as your academic achievements. But you’ll need a certain level of education to show you’re able to study for your professional qualifications.

You’ll need to check the minimum academic requirements for your programme before you apply.

How long does the selection process take?

The selection process timing varies depending on the area you have applied to. We will keep in touch throughout the process and update you on the progress. There may be a period of time during the process that you are on hold, but please do not be concerned by this, as it's a normal part of our new process.

Can I re-apply if I’m rejected?

Yes, you can re-apply.

If you’re rejected at the online stage, you’ll need to wait 12 months from the date you submitted your application.

If you’re rejected at assessment or interview stage, you’ll need to wait 6 months from the date you submitted your application. And you must apply for a new intake year. For example, if you applied to start in 2018, you can’t apply for another position starting in 2018. You’ll need to wait for applications to open for next year.

If you withdrew your application at any stage there are no restrictions on re-applying.

Do you run any student events?

Yes, loads. All year round and all across the country.

We think it’s great to meet some of the people you’ll work with, and get a personal experience of the firm before you apply. Our student events range from University careers fairs to immersive Insight days
