The James Beard Foundation (JBF) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to celebrate, support, and elevate the people behind America’s food culture and champion a standard of good food anchored in talent, equity, and sustainability. Deloitte is honored to sponsor the James Beard Foundation and to celebrate the importance of driving and recognizing innovation across America’s food ecosystem.
In 2021, Deloitte collaborated with the James Beard Foundation and chefs and restaurateurs across the nation to develop insights on business models that can enable the industry to become financially resilient and, in turn, allow it to make purposeful sustainability and equity investments.
Developed by Deloitte Consulting LLP’s US Restaurant and Food Service group in conjunction with the James Beard Foundation, the result of this work culminated in the joint “Open for Good: Business Model Innovations” perspective:
