1.0 Overview CPE credit | Specialized Knowledge

After a challenging 2023 with a downturn in M&A activity due to geopolitical and economic uncertainties, plus rising interest rates, the first half of 2024 shows signs of recovery. Despite ongoing economic volatility and the potential impact of rate hikes pending, lending conditions for middle-market companies have improved, and private credit markets are deploying capital more aggressively. We’ll discuss:

  • Potential surge in private equity-driven M&A, supported by significant dry powder and improving public markets
  • Considerations on deal timing, virtual due diligence, and structuring
  • Updates on impending tax reforms, including timelines and rate changes
