Our apprentices enjoy a fully funded professional or vocational education, with qualifications that can go up to Masters level. How does an Apprenticeship compare to University?
We can’t tell you what’s best for each individual. Everyone has their our own passions and abilities, and will be inspired and learn in different ways. Some will thrive at University; for some, given the increasing costs, it’s simply not an option. Others will find practical experience most rewarding.
It’s a big decision. And as a parent or teacher, you’ll want to offer informed advice. Here’s what our apprentices enjoy:
- A permanent job – on a training contract that lasts up to five years
- Professional qualifications, fully funded up to Masters-level, (actual level depends on the business area you join)

What does a Deloitte Apprenticeship involve?
Our Apprentices are here to shape their careers, as well as gain on-the-job experience. They do the same work as colleagues and are treated with the same respect from day one. But they also get extra time and support to progress their education.
BrightStart Higher Apprentices work in professional client-facing roles and gain a recognised qualification and skills they’ll rely on throughout their entire career.
Entry Level Apprentices work in business support roles, providing our client-facing professionals with specialist advice, administration, finance or other services.

What about learning and development opportunities?
As Apprentices, they’ll get everything they need to thrive and grow. Study time is factored in to the working week, to give the best chance of success academically. Actual qualifications vary depending on the specific team. Find out more.
The formal qualification is only part of the story though; we take a more rounded approach to Apprenticeships. As well as classroom study and e-learning, apprentices have 1:1 coaching, a designated Deloitte mentor to support them at work, and the technical and skills training they need to move on further down the line. Not to mention the invaluable experience of working on live projects.
Will there be a permanent job at the end of the Apprenticeship?
Yes. Once the Apprenticeship is successfully completed, they can join us for as long as they like and will get many opportunities to develop their careers onwards too.
