A series of board-briefing articles that share insights on how boards may move their organizations forward, both cohesively and successfully, while facing the challenges of today. Each issue examines a single topic in detail with the perspectives from Deloitte subject matter specialists.

Board Readiness Program
Educational and networking programs offered for highly skilled current and retired executives who have the interest and experience to be considered for nomination to a public company board or directorship, but who might not have a playbook for starting the journey.
Attendees will share and gain insight into how to position themselves for board opportunities. The program agenda may include subject matter specialists, such as current board members, board committee chairs, and search firms to share their experiences and insight into becoming a board-viable candidate. A select number of senior executives are invited to each session, which makes for an intimate and in-depth exchange of ideas along with the opportunity to network with peers.
Board and Audit Committee Labs
Unique experiences designed to help boards and audit committees explore their responsibilities, priorities, and practices, with an emphasis on enhancing effectiveness, especially during times of transition. The half- to one-day, customized sessions focus on helping enhance the performance of board and audit committee members, both as individuals and as part of a high-functioning team. The facilitated programs incorporate leading practices from our research and extensive experience with boards and audit committees, as well as advance input from the participants' key stakeholders.

Board and Audit Committee Symposiums
These two-day events bring together Fortune 500 board and audit committee members with corporate governance leaders for interactive sessions on timely topics facing today's boards.
The Deloitte Audit Committee Symposium, an annual, invitation-only event for audit committee members, examines current and future priorities of audit committees. The Symposium provides timely business and board topics of relevance to today’s audit committee members with numerous opportunities for attendees to share their insights with speakers and fellow committee members.
Deloitte's Board Symposium brings together board members and corporate governance leaders. The Board Symposium features interactive sessions on topics that are top of mind for board members. The target attendee is an executive or board member who sits on Fortune 500 boards.
Board Governance Dialogue
Held across the United States, the Board Governance Dialogue provides an invitation-only opportunity for board members and current executives to discuss timely topics of greatest interest to them in an intimate, roundtable setting.
The Board Governance Dialogue sessions feature a Deloitte subject matter resource who facilitates the discussion for attendees to share their experiences and perspectives on the proposed topic. Board members may also have the opportunity to be a part of a panel to discuss the topic with the audience. The format of the program is dependent upon the needs of the marketplace and allows board members to connect with peers to discuss current issues impacting the boardroom.
