OEMs face the threat of losing ownership of the customer contact and large parts of their value chain and being reduced to sole providers of hardware. Fleet managers need to rethink their position as asset-managers towards integrated mobility providers also offering services that are not necessarily related to the vehicles. Platform providers and tech companies might think about entering the market top-down, leveraging their existing customer access.
