The Future is Human

We are living in an era of continuous change for both workers and employers. The “shelf life” of most technical skills is less than three years, and human skills–curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, logical reasoning, and others–are more important than ever before. As technology disrupts and fundamentally changes the way we work, human skills are an essential component of how members of the workforce navigate the ongoing evolution of their work. Deloitte's Future of Work InstituteTM provides a unique approach to rethink workforce preparedness and development around the human skills that will keep employees relevant regardless of technology or industry change.

The evolution of the Future of Work Institute™

Deloitte’s Future of Work Institute™ was co-created with 10 higher education institutions in 2021 and has since expanded to include multiple customizable program offerings that can be delivered in person or virtually. The Institute now offers a suite of learning, convening, and strategic planning offerings that guide organizations, students, and employees to prepare, perform, and pivot throughout their workforce journey. To date, more than 25 institutions and organizations and more than 1,200 program alumni have participated in the Institute and its convenings.

Deloitte’s Future of Work InstituteTM offers convenings and strategic planning labs to the unique needs of your organization and audience. These offerings are fully customizable and include convening experiences, workshops, labs, onboarding programs, trainings, and summits for higher education institutions, employers, public-sector leaders, and other ecosystem partners. These events foster innovative thinking, create connections across the workforce ecosystem, and immerse participants in the Future of Work and the Institute’s unique microcredential learning experiences.

Leadership Symposiums: Immersive learning experiences that introduce leaders to the Future of Work, explore changing organizational needs amid disruption, and equip participants with the knowledge needed to support their career readiness.

Future of Work Strategy Labs: Interactive, full-day sessions to launch a small group of leaders to define a vision and activation plan for the evolution of their organizations.

The Future of Work InstituteTM impact is significant and extends beyond program completion. Participants join a growing network of Institute alumni and facilitators across the country with shared understanding of the Future of Work and human skills.
