Ashim Kumar

Ashim is a managing director at Deloitte Consulting LLP and brings more than 30 years of global technology experience, with 22 years primarily focused on the insurance industry across three continents.

Leveraging his extensive experience, Ashim has assisted clients with global technology adoption, including building Global Capability Centers (GCC), which consisted of a 7,000-person captive in India for a large insurance client, and global sourcing of technology solutions for application development and maintenance. He has also delivered major technology outsourcing programs for three of the top five insurance clients in North America and managed teams from 100 to several thousand members.

At Deloitte, Ashim leads the insurance sector within the Application Modernization and Migration market offering, focusing on cloud migration programs, data center exit, legacy modernization, and technology lead process modernization for clients. Additionally, he also serves as the lead consulting partner for one of the firm’s top five global insurance clients.

Ashim received his Bachelor of Engineering from NIT followed with a master’s in business management. Having lived in India, Malaysia, and the United States, he and his family have a strong passion for traveling globally and exploring new destinations. During his free time, Ashim and his wife enjoy sailing in the Gulf of Mexico with their two lovely bernedoodles.
