Baruch Cohen

Baruch is the national tax managing partner for regulated investment companies. He is based out of New York. Baruch has been with Deloitte Tax LLP for over 25 years, primarily serving clients in the investment management industry.

Baruch spends a significant amount of time providing tax compliance and tax consulting services to mutual fund, exchange traded fund, unit investment trust and investment partnership clients. His mutual fund, exchange traded fund and unit investment trust experience includes both international and domestic equity funds as well as fixed income funds, balanced funds, money market funds, fund of hedge funds, fund of private equity funds and business development companies. His investment partnership experience includes both offshore and domestic fund of funds as well as offshore and domestic hedge funds. 

In addition to his client service commitments, Baruch leads Deloitte’s regulated investment company tax practice. Additionally, Baruch oversees Deloitte’s national RIC training. Lastly, Baruch regularly attends and presents at ICI meetings and conferences.
