Betsy Evans

Betsy holds more than 25 years of public accounting and professional services experience and is currently a member of the Deloitte USA LLP Board of Directors and the national service line leader for Business Tax Services (BTS) within Deloitte Tax LLP. As the leader of BTS, Betsy leads the practice in providing federal income tax advisory, compliance, and provision services to clients. Most recently, she served as Office Tax Managing Partner for the Atlanta/Birmingham office, leading marketplace growth and talent initiatives. Betsy has served clients as an M&A Transaction Services partner for the last 15 years with experience including assisting financial and strategic buyer clients with mergers and acquisitions, tax structuring and tax controversies.

Betsy has been involved in all aspects of due diligence, transaction structuring, and review of transaction related documents and has assisted on deals ranging in size from $5 million to $44 billion and has served clients primarily in the Consumer and Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) industry, as well as serving on the Deloitte Board Council and the Nominating Committee.

Betsy has both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Accounting from Florida State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia and Florida and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Betsy also serves as a board member of Seminole Boosters, Inc.
