Chris Puglia
National Tax Leader | Financial Services
Chris leads Deloitte’s National Financial Services Tax Practice and is the FSI Office Tax Managing Partner. He has advised multinational financial service clients on a range of topics including: acquisitions and dispositions, tax examination representation, international structuring, foreign currency translation, accounting method planning, legislative and attribute modeling, technology/process improvements and operating models. He has extensive experience in the tax accounting area.
Chris has helped companies organize, remediate and transform tax functions. He evaluated and improved global operating models to increase efficiencies, reduce risk and gain further access to data for tax planning by optimizing tax process, technology and talent models.
Finally, Chris has worked with various clients with acquisitions and dispositions. He has been involved in various clients’ transactions including among other activities; basis and gain/loss calculations, opening balance sheets, capital management, tax structuring, and integration of tax departments.
Chris graduated from New York University Stern School of Business with his Masters of Business Administration with specializations in Finance, Financial Instruments, and Corporate Finance. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is a member of the AICPA and the New York and Connecticut Certified Public Accountants.
