David Wennergren

Dave is a federal technology leader with a focus on government IT modernization and transformation. He has served in numerous high-profile roles across the Department of Defense (DoD) and the federal government, including Department of the Navy chief information officer, vice chair of the US government’s Federal CIO Council, deputy assistant secretary of defense/DoD deputy chief information officer, and DoD assistant deputy chief management officer.

Dave is a fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and a CIO-SAGE at the Partnership for Public Service. His awards include the Department of Defense Distinguished Civilian Service award; Department of the Navy Distinguished Civilian Service award; and numerous other technology and leadership awards.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in communications/public relations from Mansfield University and has a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland.
