Ethan Harris

Ethan specializes in the corporate tax aspects of Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) transactions, including for large strategic and private equity clients. He has significant experience with structuring reorganizations, taxable acquisitions and dispositions, cross-border transactions, and spin-offs. Ethan also focuses on assisting multinational clients on internal restructuring transactions and general corporate tax matters. His experience also includes capital markets transactions.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Ethan was a partner at a global law firm where he had a transaction-based tax practice that included structuring and negotiating many significant M&A transactions, including spin-offs and tracking stock, and investments by sovereign wealth funds.

Ethan earned his BA from Tufts University, his JD from George Washington University Law Center and an LLM in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
