Gregory is a managing director in Deloitte & Touche LLP's Risk & Financial Advisory practice with more than 35 years of banking experience. He has industry experience as the chief financial officer (CFO) of a $40 billion regional bank, deposit risk officer of an industry-leading online bank, treasurer of a super-regional bank during the financial crisis, and corporate controller of a top four bank. He has hands-on experiences in managing the allowance processes and necessary controls as corporate controller and CFO as well as experience in data management and capital and allowance loss modeling. As a former Big Four National Office technical accounting partner and a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Accounting Fellow, he knows how to assess and implement accounting standards with the practical lens of an industry finance veteran. He also brings the standard setting perspective to The Financial Accounting Standards Board’s (FASB) current expected credit losses (CECL) standard implementation having worked on a previous American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Task Force on Allowance Accounting and supporting the Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF) as an SEC Accounting Fellow.
