Matt Metcalfe

Matt is a managing director in Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Future of Mobility and Aviation practice. He specializes in helping public sector organizations recognize, assess, and introduce emerging and sometimes disruptive technologies to realize economic and societal benefits. He has more than 15 years of experience working at federal, state, and local levels to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and build institutional capacity and programs. Over the past 10 years, he has led a range of efforts focused on the introduction of advanced unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operations and future aviation technologies and concepts. Specifically, he led a study to assess the integration of UAS at airports for the Transportation Research Board (TRB), he supports the FAA in community engagement for UAS, and he helps lead Deloitte’s UAS practice, which has ongoing projects with US commercial organizations and states.
