Mike Bourgeois

Mike is a managing director within Deloitte Consulting’s Human Services Transformation practice, and currently serves as the Red Hat Lead Alliance Partner (LAP) and IBM Lead Alliance Partner for Government & Public Services. A senior consulting professional, Mike is focused on building and delivering agency-wide business solutions and systems integration for state government clients.

With more than 20 years’ experience designing and delivering distributed software architecture solutions, operating statewide programs, and enhancing systems in the public sector, Mike is passionate about using commercially supported open source technology to lower costs, increase efficiencies, and transform legacy monolithic systems to lightweight, cloud-ready solutions for states. Building on his deep management and technology experience, Mike works closely with Deloitte’s public sector offering leaders to define strategic offering direction, collaborate with solution owners, and liaise with market offering technical leaders to drive and validate next generation technology architectures.

Previously, Mike has served as a leader in Deloitte’s Systems Integration practice and led Solution Sales for State, Local Government, and Education clients at Red Hat. He holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, and maintains two architecture certifications from Software Engineering Institute and The OpenGroup.
