East Region Market Leader | New York Managing Partner
Roger is a business leader with more than 35 years of professional services expertise in finance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and business strategy. He has extensive corporate governance experience, notably related to audit and finance and other committees and assists organizations with complex financial transactions and organization-wide transformation initiatives. Roger is committed to enhancing leadership capabilities and strategic decision-making among senior executives and has served on Deloitte LLP USA’s Board Council, including service on its Finance and Audit Committee and the Global Committee.
As the East Region market leader and New York managing partner, Roger fosters an inclusive culture, spearheads organizational operations, and drives growth through client engagement across the following businesses: audit and assurance, risk and financial advisory, tax, and consulting.
Roger drives regional growth by leading managing partners across 48 offices in the East Region, including over 3,600 partners, principals and managing directors and professional staff of more than 51,000. Additionally, Roger leads the New York office, Deloitte’s US headquarters and largest office, and works with over 600 partners, principals and managing directors and more than 8,000 professionals. In this role, he creates a marketplace plan strategy for growth and leans into the top ten and other market accounts, ensuring that clients receive, and that targets are aware of, a full suite of interdisciplinary service offerings.
Roger is a transformational leader recognized for his large-scale strategic impact and crisis management skills. Roger fosters relationship-building among partners, professionals, and alumni to promote meaningful networking, inclusion, and career growth. He sponsors and mentors senior executives and rising leaders internal and external to Deloitte. His work to advance market eminence includes active engagement on marketing, public relations, speaking engagements, and social media with an emphasis on advancing connections.
New York City is Roger’s hometown; he is enthusiastic about serving his broader community and encourages all to do the same, including leading thousands who participate in volunteerism projects annually, and senior executives who serve on hundreds of community-focused boards.
With a strong background in the financial services industry, Roger maintains lead client service partner roles for several multi-national, multi-billion companies and is responsible for service excellence while working with the member firms across Deloitte’s global organization. Roger teams across service lines and sectors to provide solutions to clients and assists them in understanding various regulatory, structural, and operational frameworks. Roger has had the pleasure to speak at numerous conferences and has been quoted in industry publications.
Roger is a long-standing supporter of many non-profit and civic organizations. He serves as the Chairperson of the Black Achievers in Industry Steering Committee, Chairperson of the Braven New York Board and he also serves on the National Board of Directors of the A Better Chance, Braven, Carnegie Hall, the Greater YMCA of New York and The Robertson Foundation organizations. He is a member of and leads differing activities of many other organizations, including the Accountant’s Coalition, Baruch College Dean’s Advisory Council, the Economic Club of New York, the Executive Leadership Council, the National Association of Corporate Directors, the New York Jobs CEO Council, the Partnership for New York City, and the NYS Business Council. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Black Accountants.
Roger received a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Baruch College.
