Steven Imp

Steven joined Deloitte Tax LLP in New York in 1993, and became Tax partner in 2001. He currently serves as the US National Tax leader of Deloitte’s Japanese Services Group.

Steve provides tax consulting, planning, tax provision, and tax compliance services for a broad base of public and private clients, including corporations, partnerships and individuals, with special emphasis on serving Japanese owned clients. Steve has extensive experience in assisting in the audit of the quarterly and year-end income tax provisions of Japanese-owned US corporations. In addition, Steve has significant experience in advising his clients on mergers and acquisitions, tax controversy, and tax accounting methods.

Steve’s significant clients include a wide range of Japanese multinational corporations, with operations focused in consumer products, technology, and healthcare.

Steve has a Bachelor’s Degree (summa cum laude) in Business Administration from Georgetown University and an MS in tax from Pace University. He is a CPA in New York and New Jersey, and a member of the AICPA and the NY and NJ State CPA Societies.
