Steve Wegener

Steve specializes in taxable asset acquisitions (Internal revenue code (IRC) sections 338 and 1060); corporate divisions (IRC section 355); domestic and international reorganizations, incorporations, and liquidations; corporate distributions and redemptions; and worthless stock losses (IRC section 165(g)). Steve previously served as an attorney advisor in the Office of Associate Chief Counsel (Corporate), Internal Revenue Service.

He speaks frequently at national and regional tax conferences, including those sponsored by the DC Bar Corporate Tax Section.

Steve earned his Bachelor of Science in finance and marketing from University of Oregon, and a combined Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration from Willamette University College of Law/Atkinson Graduate School of Management.
