Upen is a leader in Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Cloud Cyber Practice and also leads our Google alliance, driving innovation and expanding advanced cloud security solutions. He is passionately client-focused and brings nearly 20 years of extensive technology management experience to his various roles as a Digital Innovation and Strategic Risk executive. A specialist in digital transformation and data protection, Upen has spearheaded critical data protection and recovery programs in response to many highly-publicized breaches across industries.

In addition to his primary role, Upen is the leader of the NextGen CISO Academy, guiding emerging security leaders. He also forges and nurtures strategic client relationships, providing tailored solutions to help clients achieve success, leveraging his tenure as the CISO at numerous globally recognized brands.

His professional credentials include certifications in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Information Systems Auditing (CISA), and Information Systems Security (CISSP).

Additionally, Upen contributes to academia, industry, and government by developing cybersecurity training and curriculum for senior executives and board members.
