The science of meetings

A WorkWell podcast about making meetings more impactful

Learn how to lead a more effective and productive meeting.

We spend a lot of time in meetings, but is it time well spent?

Meetings are a staple of the corporate world and many of us find our days filled with them, sometimes back-to-back. But with all the time we spend in meetings, it begs the question; are they helping or hurting our productivity? On this episode, Deloitte chief well-being officer Jen Fisher discusses the science of meetings with Dr. Steven Rogelberg, a professor and director of Organizational Science at the University of North Carolina—Charlotte.

The best meetings have a culture among attendees such that there is safety and trust and people can bring their full selves to that meeting, and they know that they can have conflicts, but they are conflicts around ideas and not around the person.
