Building relationships, motivating teams, and driving change
Sarah ElRaheb-Dagher—educator, leadership coach, and pedagogy specialist at Harvard Kennedy School—reflects on how storytelling taught her about the power of education, understanding others, and finding her voice. Discover how Sarah’s openness and vulnerability has allowed her to connect with others and become a values-based leader.
Defining personal values and inspiring others
In this episode, Sarah discusses how to craft effective stories to ultimately drive change. She explains that storytelling is one of the most powerful tools at an executive’s disposal because it can convey authenticity and your personal values while motivating your teams to take action.
Part of the art of storytelling is thinking about how do I paint visual moments of challenge, of hurt, of choice that bring me to where I am today? And how do I communicate those in such a way that it's accessible and it's also concise?
