Can you share the most interesting part of your career journey?

Data is my passion. When I started my career, I worked heavily on data management. I have since transitioned from a data management specialist to a data and AI “problem-solver.” It has been an interesting career transformation, as I am today using the power of AI to efficiently find best-of-breed, data-driven solutions.

What excites you most about working with data and AI?

Data provides a foundation of undiscovered insights, and AI is the perfect tool to carve them out.

While data and AI are enablers, our collaborative experience and human intelligence is a key differentiator.

The most exciting and challenging part of my work is finding those innovative, humane ways of carving out data-driven, risk-averse AI solutions that serve the best interest of our society.

Describe an interesting project that you have worked on.

My work to predict pipeline failure comes to mind. Even after analyzing multiple pipeline parameters and training our models multiple times, we weren’t able to predict the failure with a reasonable number of false positives. With help from Deloitte industry specialists, we quickly discovered that we weren’t looking at the right sets of contextual data. We found that readings from the associated pumps were the missing parameter of the puzzle. It showed that while data and AI are enablers, our collaborative experience and human intelligence is a key differentiator.
