We also develop and manage a suite of critical proprietary tools, including our Performance Intelligence benchmarking study and our Global Demand Model, which qualifies future opportunities for our clients.

Performance Intelligence

Performance Intelligence is the asset management industry’s leading benchmarking study and features an extensive historical time line (16 years) for detailed trend analysis. The study comprises input from 300 unique participants, including private, public, and captive firms from diverse geographies. Our 2018 sample represents more than two-thirds of global assets.

The survey covers key industry data points, such as profit and loss (P&L) metrics; assets, flows, and revenues; staffing and compensation; business functions; non-compensation/outsourcing; and technology and data costs.

Proprietary surveys

All of our engagements benefit from our global network of market participants. Our Knowledge Center manages on-going contacts through quantitative surveys as well as interview based studies with the senior executive leadership of asset management organizations as well as the global investor community.

We tap this network to develop two key constituencies. Our buyer studies include conversations and survey data from over 1000 global CIOs, investment consultants, intermediaries, and financial advisors. Our manager studies include proprietary studies of over 170 global distribution leaders, top-1000 chief strategy officers, and leading CFO’s and CTOs. This data is synthesized and used to inform our views on competitive dynamics and success requirements, forward product and market projections, as well as investor engagement demands.
