Joanne O'Brien

Joanne O’Brien is a tax partner serving a variety clients and industries from start-ups to large public multinationals. She leads tax Emerging Growth Company (EGC) offerings for Los Angeles. Her client service experience is founded on leading integrated teams of multistate, international, and Washington National Tax specialists to serve her clients across multiple areas of both direct and indirect taxes. She has 15 years of experience in corporate and flow-through taxation, including “Up-C” structures, and assisting her clients in IPO readiness and sustainment in post-IPO environment. Joanne also specializes in accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and serves as the tax specialist on public and private attest clients. Joanne’s experience also includes assisting with federal income tax examinations and responding to notices and interfacing with Internal Revenue Service agents.
